The minority in Parliament and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in a press conference held by Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communication Director for the party is rejecting the nomination of three Minister-designates. According to them, they are rejecting them because of their previous actions and bad performance during the vetting.
In the case of Honourable Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the minority is rejecting his nomination because of the collapse of a microfinance he had a big share in it and also they claim the Member of Parliament for Ofoase Ayirebi constituency was not truthful with the answers he gave to the vetting Committee. Many Ghanaians after the rejection of Kojo Oppong Nkrumah have been wondering how and why can an intelligent person like him will be rejected for a post.
Kwaku Asare, who is a US based Ghanaian professor has also expressed his view on the rejection of the MP. According to the professor, Hon Kojo Oppong Nkrumah fit and qualifies for the post and therefore the minority must reverse the rejection of him for the position.
