The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Kwame Baffoe popularly known as Abronye D.C.E has claimed that Vice President Dr Mahmud Bawumia should choose between the one hundred and twenty-five thousand (125,000) NPP polling station executives and one Razak Opoku. He made this claim on NET2 TV this evening, Wednesday 14th April, 2021.
According to Abronye, Razak Opoku is the Public Relations officer of the National Lottery Authority(NLA) and earns over twenty-five thousand Ghana Cedis (GhC 25,000) a month. Razak Opoku was former member of the All People's Congress (APC).
He said, "Razak torn an appointment letter that which quotes seven thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc 7000) as his salary because he believed he deserved more than that. His salary is more that of a Deputy Minister".
He continued by saying that, Razak Opoku hides behind Vice President Dr Mahmud Bawumia and Asante Bediatuo to commit nefarious activities at the National Lottery Authority.
Abronye said," Dr Bawumia if you want to be the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party then choose between the 125,000 polling station executives and Razak Opoku. Razak thinks he has all the delegates in his bag would conjure magic for them (delegates) to vote for Dr. Bawumia".
Kwame Baffoe questioned why the Chief Executive Officer of National Lottery Authority by passed all the New Patriotic Party Constituency Communication Officers and appointed Razak Opoku.
The National Lottery Authority did not employ single New Patriotic Party foot soldiers who worked tirelessly to bring the party to power.
