Sammy Awuku who happens to be the Director-General of the National Lotteries Authority (NLA), has recently cautioned members of the New Patriotic Party appointed by the government of the Republic of Ghana to cut down their expenditures which can be "avoidable".
According to him, government appointees need to cut down on such lifestyle attitudes in order to prevent “aggravation of wounds” for the New Patriotic Party, NPP. He made this caution to the NPP speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo morning show, hosted by Kwami Sefa Kayi, on the ticket to break the 8 in election 2024.
Sammy Awuku admitted that, the NPP has only two and half years to the general election to break the 8, where some Ghanaians deem it as impossible, but to make it possible, NPP need to follow some things.
"We have about two and a half years remaining to the general election. I have heard people saying it will be very difficult for NPP to 'break the 8', but NPP will have to sing it’s song well when we get there. They must maintain internal cohesion, and speak to our narrative well to break the 8”.
Sammy Awuku further cautioned the NPP to cut down their expenditure as the election 2024 approaches.
"We need to cut down our expenses on lifestyles which aggravate wounds. Every family is taking down some cuts so your taste must change.”
