The majority leader speaking in Parliament today to congratulate the honorable speaker of Parliament emphasized that the members of Parliament has been Ignored by Ghanaians for their contribution to democracy in this country.
"I say to you patience will lead you to the far. Mr speaker, today Parliament role in the democratic governance in this country has been acknowledged, indeed it is the bedrock, yet under national landscape, we often do not get recognized. Ghanaians have been focused on the executive and the judiciary and other people command sources. So members of Parliament have been ignored and Parliament itself is seen as lean." Minority leader said.
"It is for this reason Mr. Speaker, that this recognition by the Millineum Excellence Awards if your contribution is significant, however, in Parliament keep players are the Parliamentarians themselves lead by the leadership."
"It it my prayer that, with this recognition Parliamentarians would be seen as major players in the democratic governance of this country"
"That Parliamentarians needs to be resourced to work for the people, to deliver on the mandate of the people." Majority Leader added.
