Comment about Ghana by Former Prime Minister of Canada will marvel you.

Stephen Harper, former Prime Minister of Canada and President of the International Democratic Union (IDU), has ranked Ghana as the most democratic and free society in Africa. He asserted that since the establishment of the Fourth Republic, Ghana has moved towards a new and better model for Africa, remaining true to its motto "Freedom and Justice". He affirmed 

 Ghana has taken the lead in promoting free elections, the rule of law, free trade, market-oriented growth and continental exchange free trade. 

 Mr. Harper, the 22nd Prime Minister of Canada, said this as keynote speaker at the University of Ghana Cedi Convention Center in a series of high-level public lectures on governance in Africa 

 Union The Young Democratic Alliance of Africa (YDUA), the youth wing of the African Democratic Union (UDA) under the IDU, organized the conference together with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, a German development organization, and the Patriotic Party New, member of IDU. 

 The theme of the conference was “Democracy and Geopolitics: A Global Perspective on the Changing Dynamics of the International Order”. 

 Leaders of YDUA and UDA with members from Côte d'Ivoire, Namibia, Angola, Mozambique, Morocco, Liberia, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, Ghana, IDU, members of the diplomatic corps, some national officials of NPP and some youth groups participated . 

 IDU is an international coalition of all centre-right political parties, of which the NPP is a member. The event was also used to honor Akosua Frema Opare Osei, former Prime Minister and President of the IDU, as well as the Chief of Staff of the President, for their diverse contributions to the development of YDUA.
