NPP lost 2020 elections; planning to rig 2024 election using ROPA - Akamba

The National Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Joshua Akamba on Sunday has repeated his claim that the NPP knew they lost the 2020 election, alleging they are putting in place, a brand strategy to rig the 2024 elections using the Representative of People Act (ROPA).

Speaking at an online interaction organized by NDC Diaspora, Joshua Akamba outlined why they believe the results of the 2020 election were a stolen verdict.

"The is something that is raising its ugly head I am trying to cut down the history to come back to certain things you can do to help us in the Diaspora.

"The issue of ROPA, the NPP knows they have lost the election already,

in 2020 they lost the election, we all know, they have succeeded in putting up a certain mechanizing that actually went to the grassroots or the core of our party at a branch level and through the constituency level, where they succeeded and working compounding results and forwarding into system and then into the regional collection centers that got them to defraud us of our victory.

"What they think to do is how do we became now we have been able to succeed in it Ghana.

"If you remember the Rawlings speech, in Central Region before our 2016 election, he said the NPP has been there for a very long time, but what they succeed in doing is to change their names, they have been changing their names and changing their names, that was a huge saying.

"So, now that have succeeded they find a way to be able to succeed in robbing and then they notice, that first fool is a fool, but second fool can never be a fool, what else do we think we can do to rig the next election and now they are looking at the Diaspora.

"They are looking at on how they can rob us of our victory again Using the Diaspora to rob elections," he said.
