This week has seen news trending that the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator was pulled out of his office and handcuffed. In the narration, DCOP Ayensu Opare Addo claimed that those who perpetuated that act on him were members of the NPP Delta Force. This has raised questions regarding vigilantes in the country and whether they have been disbanded or not.
Today, Tuesday, May 18, 2021, Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC National Communications and Kamal Deen, a deputy communications Director of the NPP joined Johnny Hughes in discussing pertinent issues affecting the country. according to Sammy Gyamfi, the violence perpetuated how the NPP are and how the current president has not been bold to crack the whip on his men.
“That is his side of the story. Lawfully, the man (Ayensu Opare) has been changed. Having received his letter, he was to leave office but he boldly said he will not act according to the letter” Kamal Deen said. Johnny Hughes then asked why the DCOP will lie about the ‘torture’ he went through. Kamal Deen however felt the story being peddled by the DCOP was not entirely true.
“That is what he is saying and his side of the story. The truth will soon come out. We should be careful how we tell stories that are not true and meant to score political points” Kamal explained.
