The owner of a US based Loudsilence TV Mr. Kelvin Tailor has launched an unending attacks on leadership of the minority in parliament. His attacks started last Friday during his With All Due Respect talk show when he described Hon. Haruna Iddrisu and Muntaka Mubarak as corrupt officials. He alleged that the two were in bed with the NPP government hence treating the Government with kid gloves.
Unable to keep his normal cool, Hon. Muntaka issued a press release on Monday denying the allegations leveled against him. He denied receiving any form of inducements from the ruling Government to give it free pass in every issue.
But the marveric journalist came back stronger yesterday during the editorial of his usual with all due respect program. According to Kelvin, Muntaka's response was a clear indication that he was guilty of the allegations. He said apart from traveling with the president to the US which the honourable member of parliament for Asawase denied, he didn't react to any of the allegations he (Kelvin) raised. He said he never mentioned that Muntaka traveled with the president instead he said Muntaka was in the US with the president.
He threatened to kill Muntaka's political career if the latter doesn't resign as minority chief whip within two weeks.
Kelvin also alleged that the current speaker of parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin advised the NDC to change its leadership in parliament if it wanted to win power but the party was yet to do that. Kelvin was emphatic about this claim although he didn't state exactly when and where the former MP for Nadowli-Kaleo made this suggestion.
Meanwhile, Hon. Muntaka has taken to Facebook live to react to some of the allegations against him in addition to the statement he issued earlier.
This issue is not ending anytime soon as the minority leader is yet to react. CitizenOne will be on the stand by for any developments that will emanate from this. You can follow me to receive the updates automatically.
