Justice Senyo Dzamefe of the Association of Magistrates and Judges of Ghana (AMJG), has alleged that sometimes they have to rely on their friends at the presidency to push for the payment of their allowances every year.
Reacting to this statement by Justice Senyo Dzamefe on his 'With All Due Respect' program yesterday on Loud Silence television, the social and political commentator, Kevin Ekow Baido Taylor, has indicated that it is no wonder the judiciary has been working for the Jubilee house since they usually fall on the Jubilee house for the payment of their allowances.
According to Kevin Taylor, it is very despicable, coming from the judiciary, that sometimes they fall on friends at the presidency to ask for their allowances. He said that every Ghanaian should be ashamed of this statement from the judiciary.
"So, are you telling us that you pick up your phones and call your friends at the Jubilee house and tell them to talk to President Akufo Addo to release your allowances?"
Kevin Taylor indicated that these actions by our judges are despicable because how can they tell persons at the presidency whom they call for their allowances to be paid in court that they are wrong? So, technically, the Jubilee house has bought every judge in Ghana especially, the Supreme court judges.
"No judge can make this statement in the United States of America because this is pure bribery."
Kevin Taylor said that the constitution has made it clear that the Accountant General has to pay judges in the country, so what will make them call somebody at the Jubilee house to get their allowances?
"What this means is that you are now working for the Jubilee house. You have friends there and there is no way you can act against the wishes of the Jubilee house."
He revealed that the judge who made this statement has made a very big mistake because how can judges fall on the Jubilee house for their allowances to be paid?
Kevin Taylor added that we now know that majority of our judges are politicians in wigs working for the Jubilee house. No wonder all these corrupt politicians are working free because they own the judiciary.
