Sack Those Sycophants Around You- Vim Lady Charges Akufo Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has been urged to rid himself of people who fail to confront him with the truth about his government. Popular broadcast journalist, Afia Pokuaa who is affectionately referred to as Vim Lady is demanding that the President sacks all such persons in his government so he could have a fair and truthful view of what he does and the performance of his government.

Vim Lady on Egyaso Gyaso show, tagged persons as sycophants, as she justified that they are the reason the President has been ‘blindfolded’ about the odd side of his government. She indicated that these sycophants have been singing the praise of President Akufo Addo and failed to counsel or rebukes him when he does something wrong or fails to do otherwise.

She did not mention any names of those in government who have been a bad influence on the President yet her reiteration of this call, made it more compelling to believe that she knew exactly what she was saying. Given the opportunity Vim Lady as fearless as she is would name those people who have manipulated the perception of the President about the true performance of his government and the repercussions of some utterances he makes in public.

In her view, the President is doomed if he fails to sack these persons from his government, adding that he would carry the disgrace along with him he leaves office in 2024. She feared that the cost President Akufo Addo shall pay for being adamant to criticisms and good counsel will be a stain on his legacy.

“You are one of the finest Presidents Ghana has ever had. But those sycophants around you must be sacked. President Akufo Addo, I urge you to sack those sycophants around you. You better do that because you risk taking them along with a disgrace when you retire from office. Start sacking them!!” she emphasized.

Vim Lady recounted that it is for such influence that President Akufo Addo made a rather disrespectful remark about the Aflao Chief who demanded the government complete an abandoned E-block complex in his community.

“You need to be confronted with the truth. The other time what you said to the Aflao chief was politically incorrect. It doesn’t mean someone hates you when he or she criticizes you about that. It’s meant to correct you.”
