The Progressive People's Party (PPP) wishes to inform the general public that, their Upper West Regional chairman and hid executives have not defected from the party as some news on social media is claiming.
The PPP is therefore asking the general public to treat such news with all the contempt that it deserves.
According to a statement from the party, signed by Director of Communications Felix Mantey., the Upper West Regional chairman and his executives are still in control of affairs and 1000 party members in the region has not also defected to any party.
"the regional chairman of the PPP, Dr. Mathew Dumah and his executives have not crossed carpet and that, they are still in charge of affairs in the Upper West Region. Neither has 1000 members of the party in the region defected to any other party."
The defection according to the statement has to do with the regional chairman for Was whose position was revoked in 2021 because of incompetence and poor performance.
