Former Minister of communications under John Dramani Mahama Dr. Omane Boama who has always been thinking about the next elections in 2024 Boldly placed Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang taller as running mate ahead of other possible contenders.
"It appears the competition in NDC for 2024 Running Mate will be very keen; but so far Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang stands taller" Dr Omane Boama wrote on his official Facebook page.
Although others supported his choice of running mate, it was however disputed by some NDC stalwarts who debated with age figures against Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as running mate.
According to Dennis Akoetey, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang will be too old to lead NDC after the 2024 elections. Yes, Prof will be 78 years on 2028.
" Not a bad idea. But, Prof. would be 74 or almost in 2024 and 78 in 2028. it is my humble opinion that a younger person is preferred for obvious reasons. Shalom " Dennis Akoetey disputed Omane Boama's suggestion.
There were other party faithfuls who also felt that this is not the right time to declare support for potential running mates.
Well, does age really matter in governance or politics? Is the NDC really winning 2024 ? We heard the victory of NDC in 2016 and 2020 but never worked. Well, let's see.
