Dr. Mathew Opoku Premper (Napo) was the minister of Education for the past four years. He was appointed by the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffu Addo. Dr Mathew Opoku Premper was appointed as the minister of Education in the year 2017 and ended his term this year January 2021.
Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum who was then Deputy minister of Education is now the minister - designate for Education. And Some college of Education (COE) graduates in the country has sent there petition to him to cancel the yearly Ghana teacher licensure examination (GTLE) when he resumes office as Ghana's Education Minister. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum shared his thought about it.
According to Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, he would not advocate for the cancellation of the Ghana teacher licensure examination conducted annually by the National Teaching Council(NTC).
