John Mahama Is Full Of Bitterness Against His Own Party People – NPP Big Wig Tells Johnnie Hughes

It’s a long way to 2024 but the 2 biggest parties in the country are gearing up for the next elections. For the NDC it might be a mere formality that John Mahama will be on their flagbearer ticket. However, for the ruling NPP it will be a tense moment as a number of candidates are lacing their boots to contest. President Akufo-Addo will finish his second term in 2024 and is set to leave office.

On TV3’s The Big Issue, lawyer Abraham Amaliba noted that there is disarray in the NPP ahead of their National Delegates Conference in Kumasi. According to him, the confusion started way back when Akufo-Addo caused the suspension of Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong. He noted that this has sown deep enmity roots within the NPP and more reason why Akufo-Addo should leave the party. He added that Akufo-Addo doesn’t reward loyalty and has sent many loyal people out of the party.

In Reaction, Alfred Thompson a member of the NPP communications team debunked Amaliba’s claims. He explained that when it comes to personalities who divide, then it is John Mahama. He noted that John Mahama is a vindictive person who has caused the sacking of personalities he didn’t like. Alfred queried why honest people like Koku Anyidoho, Allotey Jacobs and Atubiga will be sacked from the party. According to him Mahama was more of a bitter person because at least the NPP suspended those who rebelled but the NDC sacked her own party officers.

Alfred Thompson called on the NDC to parade a man of unity who will bury the differences of all grieving personalities and unite the party. He was of the view that John Mahama is not the right person for the party as his continued stay will only keep dividing the party.
