A few weeks ago the natives of Apam woke up to sad news. It was realized that a group of teenagers between the ages of 14- 17 years had drowned in the sea.

Today, the minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Hawa Koomson donated Gh¢10,000 cedis each to the families of the Apam teens who drowned on behalf of the president of the Republic of Ghana Nana Akufo Addo.

This donation was done at the funeral grounds today. The burial service was held at the St. Luke's Hospital, Apam. The parents of the drowned teens were asked to come for the donations and had to sign to confirm receipt of money.

The families of four other teens who survived this ordeal were not left out. The families were given Gh¢5,000 each to cater for every mishap that might have happened.

Do you think this donation was supposed to be done at the funeral? Do you think this gesture has a political affiliation?
