The 2020 Presidential Elections resulted in dispute between the National Democratic Congress (NDC) led by Ex President John Dramani and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. The NDC filed a petition at the Supreme Court to challenge the Presidential elections result declared by Mrs. Jean Mensah on Wednesday 9th December 2020.
The NDC had wanted the 7 Supreme Court Judges to hear their arguments and witnesses, and mount the Electoral Commission Chair, Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensah in the witness box and tell Ghanaians how she arrived at those changing figures to declare President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as President but all effort to have their wish granted has proved futile. They always get unanimous decision from the bench.
Most Ghanaians thought that they were going to provide their pink sheets to prove their point of irregularities in the elections but they are rather demanding for the Electoral Commission's pink sheets which according to the E.C had already published it on the various platform. This article is going to tell us more about our current 7 Supreme Court Judges on the bench for the 2020 Presidential Elections.
