The popularly known USA based Ghanaian broadcast journalist and founder of Loud Silence Media, Kelvin Taylor has recently sparked massive stir, debates and arguments across all social media platforms after he boldly sent another tough message to Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II over the incumbent President, Nana Akufo-Addo’s 4-days visit to the Ashanti region.
According to the popularly known broadcast journalist, Kelvin Taylor took the privilege address certain issues which he claimed has been worrying Ghanaians over the past couple of years since the incumbent President, Nana Akuffo-Addo’s tenure in office.
Kevin Taylor took the privilege to question Otumfuo over the Ejura killings whilst emphatically stated that, “Why haven’t you spoken on the Ejura killings Nana? Is it because the victims are settlers and not direct Asantes?”.
Kelvin Taylor went on to reveal that, he has heard Otumfuo complain about the traditional leadership been relegated from Ghana’s modern structure of governance which had made traditional leaders “puppets” on the hands of politicians then he can clearly say without mincing words that, Otumfuo unexpected played a major role in making sure political leaders take them for granted.
“I’m drawing your attention to the need for you to stop being economical with the truth and demand for progress for your people as the Kong, because the throne you sit on is never permanent. When God and the gods of the land calls you to join your ancestors, it is what you stood for that your people will remember you for and not because you inherited the throne as custom and tradition demands”, Kevin Taylor emphatically stated.
In conclusion, Kelvin Taylor highlighted that, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II shouldn’t settle for less as the largest opposition party led by John Mahama had attained more developments in terms of infrastructures and just to mention but a few even though his subjects don’t cast their votes for the NDC as compared to the incumbent government’s administration.
