Ghanaian journalist and managing director of Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Junior has boldly made fresh allegations against President Akufo-Addo over E-Levy on Peace FM. Kwesi Pratt finally revealed why E-Levy was accepted by the mobile money operators later when in the beginning of this whole E-Levy, they were not in support of it.
While speaking on Peace FM and discussing the low rate of revenues the government is getting from E-Levy, Kwesi Pratt Junior revealed that the mobile money operators were not in support of the E-Levy, but after being invited to the Jubilee House by Akufo-Addo, the President told them to go and speak good about E-Levy because they are not part. This was the allegation made by Kwesi Pratt and Nana Akomea told Kwame Sefa Kayi to investigate that.
“ The E-Levy has not, will not, and will never be the solution to our problems. No matter how much Ghanaians are forced to accept it, it still won't change it. That was how the mobile money operators were told by President Akufo-Addo to support the E-Levy because they are not part upon visiting the jubilee house. That was what the President told those operators when they visited him because at first, all those guys were hugely against the E-Levy but with just one visit, everything changed.” Kwesi Pratt boldly revealed this.
