Muntaka Joins Kennedy Agyapong With Threats Of Legal Action Against Kevin Taylor For Defamation

The Member of Parliament for Asawase in the Ashanti Region, Alhaji Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka has threatened legal actions on Kevin Taylor for allegedly making false publications about him. The senior parliamentarian of the major opposition political party; the National Democratic Congress (NDC) says he is fed with the unfounded allegations and insults hauled at him by the self-styled broadcast journalist [Kevin Taylor].

In a video message posted on his Facebook page, Alhaji Muntaka clarified that all that has been said about him by Kevin Taylor, some of which bothers on a mutiny against ex-president John Mahama and contracts secured from the Akufo Addo government, all palpable falsehood. He has challenged Kevin Taylor to man up with his accusations and ready himself with evidence to be tendered in court.

His threat of legal action adds to what has allegedly been occasioned by the Assin Central parliamentarian, Kennedy Agyapong. Like Kennedy Agyapong, the Asawase MP finds it defamatory for Kevin Taylor to go about making unsubstantiated allegations against him with impudence, and to deceive the public.

Alhaji Muntaka argues that the only way to settle this fracas is for both of them to meet in court to defend each other's claim. He emphasized that the truth or otherwise in what Kevin Taylor has said about him shall be established in the court.

"If you know you are courageous and believe in whatever that you are saying, just come and say it and let us just and in court so that we can all go through due process. That is where there will be fairness and then we will see your truthfulness level and all that," he reiterated.

Alhaji Muntaka remarked that Kevin Taylor is a threat to Ghana and that Ghanaians should be cautious about his actions. He justified the pack of lies that Kevin Taylor disposes of in the media is evident that he hates the country.

"He is somebody who hates our country but pretends to love it. Someone whose talk is just to malign innocent people with lies and he tells the lies with so much confidence that some gullible people tend to be him.

"You are not decent. Decent people will try to crosscheck their information before they come out. Because you are not decent, and naïve about things that we do, you wouldn't even bother to confirm your information," he concluded.
