IMANI fellow roasted on social media over the death of Sir John

Senior Vice president of IMANI Africa, Kofi Bentil has come under criticism and shades on social media after writing words that social media commentators found distasteful over the death of Sir John

On the 1st July,2020, the country learnt of the demise of former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party [NPP] and CEO of the Forestry Commission Kojo Owusu Afriyie Popularly known as Sir John who had been admitted at Korle-Bu teaching Hospital allegedly on ventilators for sometime due to Covid-19.

As Tributes poured in all over social media, the lawyer under a post wrote:

"We should all do what we have to do when we have to do it and not fear what Man can do to us. Nor compromise our princes to seek the favour of any man because God will be the ultimate Judge and we don’t know when he will call."

But peeps on social media weren't happy with his choice of words as the nation grief at the death of Sir John.

One Aya Ballet Kasoa wrote: "Kofi Bentil I’m still trying to understand why you posted this on your timeline. 22:40 GMT"

Aquesi Ad Vanz also wrote: "Kofi Bentil ...sir,I respect you alot but looking at what you just mischievously posted on your wall I will like to know if you know for a fact that he died of Covid-19?

It is currently alleged that the former CEO of the forestry commission died of Covid-19.

He was highly known for the political words- "Fear delegates". May His soul rest in perfect peace.
