It is the desire of every Ghanaian to see the Ghana Police Service being vibrant and active in their services to the Country. However, the Ghana Police Service cannot carry out their tasks fully without the needed support and motivation that will encourage them to do the good work to the benefit of Ghanaians.
Upon realizing this, the President of the republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo does the unexpected by providing a massive support to the Ghana Police Service by donating a number of motorbikes to enhance the operations of the Police Service. At the ceremony, Dr George Akuffo Dampare the Inspector General of the Ghana Police Service ( IGP) together with this officials, welcome His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo in a grand style to carry out his mission.
According to report which was spotted on the official facebook page of the Ghana Police Service, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo donated a total of One thousand, fiver hundred ( 1,500) motorbikes to the Ghana Police Service (GPS). The presence of these motorbike in the police service is to enhance police visibility duties across the country.
The president of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo charged the officers to ensure efficient community policing with the logistics support from the Government to the Ghana Police Service.
The Inspector General of the Ghana Police Service IGP Dr George Akuffo Dampare and his able officials, expressed thier profound gratitude to the His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo for his concern for the Police Service. The Leaders of the police service also assured the president that, they will utilize the resource given to safeguard and defend the cause of Ghanaians against robbery attacks and terrorist.
The motors will also enhance the patrol activities of the police service.
