Most of celebrities in Ghana are into politics and plays a major role during any elections to influence the votes of their fans to their favorites. There have been numerous times celebrities are being spotted with a political party during any campaign.
Some of these celebrities might later even ends up loosing most of their fans and fame because of the opposite path they chose compared to their fans. Some of them use their talents to enrich the campaign of political candidates. For example, campaign songs have been part of our body politick since time immemorial. In all everyone has his or her favorite political party.

Mzbel has never hidden her admiration for former president John Dramani Mahama. In 2016, she said John Mahama was her father and has since maintained that level of respect for him. She has been bashing the ruling party on numerous times with numerous reasons.

Yvonne Nelson was one of the celebrities that were fighting for change of Government during Mahama's era. She recently declared her disappointment in the ruling party for corruption and not listening to the people of Ghana. It seems she has regretted for calling for change.
4 Rex Omar

Rex Omar is a Ghanaian highlife artist. He first rose to prominence in 1989 with the Aware Pa album which also included the track, Wodofo Ne Hwan? “Honestly, NPP’s manifesto was just a love letter to the creative arts industry because if we are to judge them by where they outline a number of projects for the creative industry, then they have failed woefully,” he said. Since then he has been on their nerves.
