The persistence of the group, Arise Ghana is admirable and they are bent on carrying out their demonstrations despite several restrictions by the police. Their quest is to put the government on its toes and to manage the economy competently for the collective good of all Ghanaians.
However, skeptics are worried as to whether the leaders can control the thousands of demonstrators by not doing anything that will tilt toward treason. Another question that remains is since when have demonstrations coupled with public agitations brought about any meaningful changes?
Shouldn't they save their energy for the next elections whether to vote them out or maintain them.? At the end of the day will they be returning home with anything on the table? These and many more are concerns of some people.
A prominent member of the pressure group and a renowned personality by name of Rex Omar has posted about the demonstration on his Facebook page. He has indicated that they have secured a stay of execution against the Ghana Police Service, hence the demonstration will take place as earlier intended.
It will be recalled earlier that the police department which is in charge of providing internal security placed some restrictions. The veteran musician emphasized that the whole demonstration will be peaceful.
