The outspoken Ghanaian journalist Kevin Ekow Baido Taylor has taken a swipe at the speaker of Parliament and his parliamentarian for this quest to enact laws that will criminalize LGBTQ in Ghana. According to him, the Speaker and the Parliamentarian are too obsessed with LGBTQ.
Kevin Taylor made this statement on his 'With All Due Respect' program yesterday, June 29th, 2021, when he reacted to the news that Parliament will enact laws criminalizing LGBTQ in Ghana by the end of 2021.
"At this point, the Speaker of Parliament and Parliamentarian are so obsessed with LGBTQ. Have the gays and lesbians in Ghana killed anybody or committed any crime in Ghana?
The issue is that we have more pressing issues confronting us today, and a whole Parliament is using their time to pray against LGBTQ in Ghana." - he said
According to him, instead of enacting laws that will protect the lives of the people and create jobs, parliamentarians sitting there praying against LGBTQ.
He asked that has anybody come out with facts that any LGBTQ person has committed any crime in Ghana? If anybody is gay or lesbian, it doesn't hurt the economy of Ghana so, why should parliamentarians waste our time praying.
