The members of Parliament representing the people in Tamale Central and Sisala East in the persons of Honorable Murtala Mohammed and Honorable Amidu Chinnia Issahaku joined Lantam Papanko on the Gh One Morning review show to discuss their expectations on the e-levy bill passage as Parliament reconvenes today.
Honorable Murtala Mohammed expressed surprised at how the NPP MP for Sisala East resorted to denigrating the personality of Former President John Agyekum Kuffour. This came in reaction to the statement by Honorable Amidu that Former President Kuffour once called the Leader to negotiate with them but on that single occasion, the then leadership failed to honor that invitation because of a publication. According to Murtala Mohammed, that statement from Honorable Amidu was a complete show of ignorance since President Kuffour and the subsequent Presidents had met with leadership on several occasions.
"This is your first time in Parliament that is why you are speaking like that. I have been in the sixth Parliament. It is better you sit and learn the proceedings rather that peddling falsehood because I am more experienced than you", he added.
