Eudora Hilda Koranteng, Ghana's ambassador to Italy, has died.

Eudora Hilda Quartey Koranteng, Ghana's Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Italy with concurrent accreditation to Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, and the FAO, has died.

After a brief illness, she died in Rome on Wednesday, October 20th, 2021.

Since 2019, when she took over for Tangoba Abayage, Ambassador Quartey-Koranteng has served the country. When President Akufo-Addo attended the NAM meeting in Serbia, where she is also accredited, she hosted him.

Her spouse and two children were left in her wake.

President Akufo-Addo named Ambassador Koranteng in 2019. She took office on June 11, 2019, in the Italian city of Rome, after giving her letters of credence to President Sergio Mattarella. She was credited with increasing the Mission's productivity by implementing an efficient online and passport printing system.

She installed and operationalized the Embassy's Biometric Passport Printing System in less than a year.

The Ghanaian society has largely accepted the new regime, with over 3,000 (3000) online passport applications being submitted in the first month alone.After President Akufo-Addo recalled Paulina Patience Abayage to serve as the Upper East Region Minister, Ambassador Eudora Quartey-Koranteng took her place.
