Image of Chief while he was speaking
A video of a chief pleading for a car from the President of Ghana has been shared online few minutes ago. I have shared this video below.
This Chief happens to come from the Volta region and is begging the President for means of transport (car) after presenting the challenges of his community.
According to him, because he does not have a car, he stands at the roadside in his full Chieftain regalia (dress) to wait for a commercial bus (trotro) to attend events.
Sometimes he is late as a result of this. He believes getting a car could help ease his movements and to be present at meetings or events on-time.
The Chief said "Your Excellency, your junior brother is no more having a vehicle, so if I put on my regalia I will stand by the roadside and wait for trotro to take me to wherever I am going. Sometimes I get late, so I am pleading if you could place me with a means of transport to make my movements easy. Thank you".
His Excellency after saying the challenges will be noted and addressed added that, for yourself Togbe (Chief) I will discuss this with the Volta Regional Minister, he would find the solution".
