IMF Deal: NPP’s IMF Decision Will Soon Bring Smiles To The Faces Of Ghanaians Due To This Notice

The Ghanaian political atmosphere has been flooded with debates on the controversial IMF bailout decision, that the New Patriotic Party, NPP under the leadership of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has taken.

Apparently, the Government of the Republic of Ghana following the economic crisis of Ghana decided to embark on an IMF bailout, to help rescue Ghana’s economy from hitting the worst.

Many have criticized the Akufo-Addo led administration for taking this decision because, the entire New Patriotic Party, NPP descended heavily on the erstwhile Mahama administration, when he took Ghana to IMF and now, the same administration that condemned the deal is going for it again.

Most Ghanaians also shares the view that, the government should give the E-levy initiative sometime to bring out government’s expected revenue because, going to the IMF may also bring about some restrictions just as it happened in the erstwhile Mahama administration.

Government following these criticisms has revealed that, NPP’s IMF decision will soon bring smiles to the faces of the good people of Ghana, and this is found in a recent statement.

A tweet from the Presidency which reads; “Government has assured Ghanaians that its negotiations with the IMF will be in the best interest of Ghanaians which will ensure that people get jobs, and reliefs from the pressures from the Russia-Ukraine war and COVID-19”.

From this note, Government assures that the IMF deal will provide more jobs for the people to get relieved from the pressures, which has been resulted from the Russian-Ukraine War and Covid-19 pandemic.

The critics of NPP’s IMF decision will soon smile due to this note from the Presidency.
