Justice Gertrude Torkornoo is a Judge of the Court of Supreme Court of Ghana, and currently a member of the panel sitting on the 2020 Election Petition brought before the apex body by the former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama.

The petitioner is seeking among many things, the ordering of the EC by the law lords, to do a re-run of the elections, as he argues that, no candidate won the constitutionally mandated 50% plus one outright majority to be declared the President.

The respondents, including President Nana Addo and the Electoral Commissioner are in court praying the apex body to dismiss these assertion as they insist, the results declared is true and reflects the will of the people.

But beyond the litigation and functions of the judges, this is information abut Justice Torkornoo that is not yet a public knowledge, though it is on her webpage (https://justtrudy.com/about/).

Did you know that, she is a very passionate minister of God, who uses her website to teach the gospel as well? Did you know she love the creative arts as well? and has plays she has written and all? Well read!

Justice Gertrude Torkornoo is a passionate minister in the body of Christ, and a poet and playwright. She plays a keen role in Aglow International and serves as a board member of Theovision International, a ministry that has translated the Bible into African languages since 1992. For many years, she has had the privilege of being a faculty member of Haggai International – a premier leadership institute based in Hawaii and Thailand, which helps in the development of leadership skills for godly market place leaders.

Justice Gertrude Torkornoo is also an active member of ICGC and speaks more often around ICGC churches when invited to speak on diverse issues on both spirituality and career success.

She established Sozo Foundation as a ministry dedicated to evangelism through the publication and distribution of tracts and other literary works. Its’ offshoot ministries are the Well Institute for Leadership Development and the Healing Streams Gardens. In all these roles, her favorite are the roles of mum, friend, and mentor to her children – biological and spiritual, adopted along her journey – and grandchildren.

In fact, prior to becoming a Justice of the supreme court, between January 1997 to 2004, she was a Managing Partner at Sozo Law Consult. {Sozo according to Strong's #4982: means sozo (pronounced sode'-zo) is from a primary sos (contraction for obsolete saos, "safe"); to save, i.e. deliver or protect (literally or figuratively):--heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole.}

Her choice of SOZO for her law firm and foundation should clearly tell us how passionate she is about the gospel and power of Jesus Christ and clearly, she isn't ashamed to represent the Kingdom of God in her professional practice.

In JustTrudy blog (which is from her Gertrude first name) in the website mentioned earlier, she says "we are taking a stroll through the Bible. Each Series begins with a lively recapture or fictional form of a story from the Bible book that our journey has come to. The theme of each Series is a facet of leadership, the centrality of the Lord Jesus Christ in creation and redemption of humanity, and the purpose and blessing of the people of God."
