The Speaker of Parliament, Right Honorable Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin ended today's sitting with a bold request to the members of the house that they take the COVID-19 booster. He explained that the shots of boosters are very necessary since, without them, the members will not be able to travel. He admitted that he had heard several rumors and controversies about the boosters of the vaccine. He stated that despite this, he had not come across any researched literature that backs these rumors. He, therefore, urged all those who were against the vaccines to litigate it at court.
The minister of fisheries and aquaculture, Mavis Hawa Koomson quickly stood to enquire from the Speaker if it was mandatory to take the booster again even when you have taken it already. She revealed that she took hers at the Jubilee House. This was the response of Bagbin.
"I am not aware of any lawful area where you take the booster and they do not give you an indication to show that you have taken it. If you had taken it at my house, I would have given you evidence. So, bring your evidence", he said.
