Anger is brewing among the youths from the Volta region after what they deem as a disrespectful comment from President Akufo Addo to the Paramount Chief of Aflao, Torgbui Adzongaga Amenya Fiti V, on 'Kokrokoo' on Peace FM. They are demanding nothing but an apology from President Akufo Addo to Torgbui Fiti.
The Deputy National Youth Organizer of the NDC, Edem Agbana, has taken to his Facebook page to demand that until President Akufo Addo apologizes to Torgbui Adzongaga Amenya Fiti V, any Volta Chief who will welcome him and his ministers to his palace must be severely dealt with.
According to Edem Agbana, Akufo Addo dares not disrespect the Okyenhene and Otumfuo, the way he has disrespected Torgbui Adzongaga Amenya Fiti V, and he hopes that the Volta Regional House of Chiefs won't remain silent on this issue.
Edem Agbana indicated that may he never become so "stupid" to the extent that even when the leaders of his party insult and disrespects his chiefs, he will be forced to defend them as it is happening in the NPP.
"The NPP folks especially, from the Volta region who are putting up a defense for this blatant disrespect to Torgbui Fiti, I am sorry, you are making a mockery of yourselves. You are clowns."
Edem Agbana revealed that no NPP appointee from the Ashanti Region or the Eastern Region will tolerate such insults on their Chiefs.
"Until Akufo Addo apologizes to Torgbui Adzongaga Amenya Fiti V, any Volta Chief who welcomes the Prez, Veep & their ministers into his palace must be called out and delt with. Freddie Blay too got away with his insult on Torgbe Afede. ENOUGH."
Edem Agbana recalled that when Kwame Zu made a statement that was considered disrespectful to the Okyenhene, everybody saw how the Akyems in the NDC descended on him until he was led to go and apologize.
Edem Agbana added that people are laughing at the Volta folks in the NPP defending this statement from President Akufo Addo.
