Rare collage of Zanetor Rawlings reveals her deep thoughts about women

Dr. Zanetor Rawlings, daughter of late President Jerry John Rawlings has captured touching moments she shared with colleague women on International Women’s Day in a simple collage she shared on social media.

The collage which brought together events from different places into one exquisite photo, sought to tell the stories of women making giant strides in diverse sectors of the economy.

Interestingly, the Member of Parliament for Korle Klottey constituency was conspicuously represented in each of the shots portraying a sense of togetherness among women from all walks of lives.

Even more touching are the pictorial images of the legislator charging women at trade centers after which they posed for a snapshot.

To give impetus to her experience with the women folks who work in academia right through to those who operate day to day businesses in commercial circles, she shared some wise words about the latent power of women.

“Until we stop treating women like minorities, or to be placated out of the way, the parity we seek and need will continue to elude us. Happy International Women’s Day!,” Dr Zanetor Rawlings said in a post on Instagram.

She couldn't have said it any better. Women really are in the majority per statistics collated census, hence women must up their game and stand up tall to be counted in the development of this country.

The 2021 International Women's Day which is marked annually around the globe fell on March 8, to celebrate cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women.

This Internationally acclaimed holiday sheds light on women's rights movement, bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence against women.
