Political Science Lecturer at the University of Ghana, Professor Ransford Gyampo has claimed that Former President John Dramani Mahama's do or die comment is harmless. He made this claim on TV3's weekend political analysis talk show dubbed KEY POINTS today, Saturday, 11th September, 2021.
He said, " it is not a big deal. This is a harmless statement, but he did not communicate effectively. One of the key qualities of a good leader is effective communication skills. He should have used other words. The Former President did not communicate effectively that is why he has come to explain what he meant. You must communicate without ambiguity. The English Language is not ours".
The renowned Educationist lambasted the National Democratic Congress for their failure to collate their votes in the 2020 elections. " The NDC were incompetent in putting together the number of votes they garnered in the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections. That is why they could not produce the figures at the Supreme Court," the Associate Professor said.
Professor Ransford Gyampo also took time to criticise politicians and their political parties." Both the New Patriotic Party and National Democratic Congress want to be in power to develop the country. However, they are always engaged in activities that undermine our development".
" I do not want to be sandwiched by two politicians, they make matters difficult. They have thrown away political principles. They make it difficult for us to teach political science. They are playing with the conscience of Ghanaians. They display hypocrisy every day".
Former Member of Parliament for Tempane, Joseph Kpemka of the New Patriotic Party added this: " If you continue with this political statement, it could blow up one day and we cannot control it. We have no idea about how many people who are willing to die for Former President John Dramani Mahama to be the President of the Republic of Ghana again".
