President Akuffo-Addo is mentioned in the report to be taking US$76,000 per annum, breaking down to US$6,300 per month.

President Akuffo is however listed as the 3rd highest earning leader in West Africa,

According to the Business Insider Africa, data used in arriving at the salaries of the listed President were secured from country websites and organisations such as the International Monetary Fund and the CIA World Factbook.

“One thing of concern is that annual salaries of most leaders are well above the country’s GDP per capita or average wages. This is why many young citizens are curious to discover how much African leaders earn so that their pay packets match the average salaries and GDP’s of other respective countries”, the report said.

The report pegged Ghana’s GDP as against President Akuffo-Addo’s earning as 2,188.
