Don't Blame Russia And Ukraine Or The Minority For Going To IMF - Haruna Iddrisu To Government

The Minority leader in parliament, Haruna Iddrisu has addressed the claim by the NPP government that the actions of the minority have compelled the government to go to the IMF for help.

The leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Otchere Darko blamed the minority for not supporting the E-levy which has brought about the current state of the economy. They have even gone to the extent of blaming the Russia and Ukraine war as the cause of economic hardship.

But the minority leader said they shouldn't put the blame on them but be responsible for their irresponsible act of mismanaging the economy that has compelled them to go to the IMF.

He also noted that the government should not shift the blame on Russia and Ukraine war but have to come and tell Ghanaians what they expected.

"The government must come clean and tell us what the people of Ghana should expect instead of blaming Ukraine and Russia.”
