Here are some achievements of JA Kuffour as he turns a year older today.

It's always an honour to see our old statesmen growing stronger and older everyday. The biggest blessings one will get is turning a year older and today, one of our best presidents in this republic has gotten that blessings from the most high God. Let's have time and read some achievement of His Excellency John Agyekum Kuffour, the second president of the 4th republic and the first from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He was gifted to Ama Dapaah and Kwadwo Agyekum on the 8th of December, 1938 in the Ashanti Region. He had his basic and secondary education at Osei Tutu boarding school and Prempeh college respectively. He had the chance to further this education at the Lincoln's Inn Exeter college in Oxford. He became and lawyer, a business man and later ventured into politics. He served the people of Atwima Nwabiagya during the 2nd and the 3rd republic of the country. He contested and became the flag bearer of the NPP and on the 7th of January, 2001, he was sworn in as a president. He ruled for 8 good years and his achievements for the country is matchless in this republic.

It was his time Ghanaian cedi had the same value with the American dollar. Through this great man, Ghana was able to discover oil on her land. He sold the first oil from the land. He built many hospitals in the country which the ones he was not able to complete have been left to rot in bushes by successive governments. Not only hospitals, more senior high schools were built under his presidency. He initiated health insurance scheme which most of us are enjoying today. School feeding program too saw daylight under the presidency of this great man. Indeed he is a great man and his achievements are what Ghanaians are enjoying today.

Happy birthday grandpa. May you have a good health and long life.
