The term of service for District Chief Executives has elapsed as we are in a new political term and new appointments have to be made by the president to represent him in the various districts.
As a result of this, there is already a race at Karaga district in the Northern region as fourteen (14) people have contested for the position of the District Chief Executive as the president will appoint new DCE in the next two months.
Speaking on Ntv yesterday, the old DCE who is still in office, Alhassan Yabdow, he said that he is still in the race of Karaga District Chief Executive position and if his time is not yet up, and if God said he should not leave, no one can defeat him. He added that 13 people contested in addition to him making it 14 contestants.
He added that all the contestants have the qualities of becoming DCEs and for that matter, they should all try and do it in peace and to stop back bitting, jealousy and blackmailing one another.
This is happening right in Karaga District.
