The Incompetence And Dishonesty Of This Government Is Offensive - Alhassan Suhuyini Boldly Declares

They have been mixed reactions and varied opinions by some members of the NPP on the post-election survey report by the CDD. Although some of them have welcomed the report by the CDD, the majority of them have also raised concerns and have disagreed with the reports in the survey citing various reasons.

The Member of Parliament for the Tamale North Constituency, Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini, has indicated that the Incompetence and dishonesty of this NPP government are offensive to Ghanaians because despite what Ghanaians know about corruption in the country, the government still wants to play smart.

Alhassan Suhuyini made this statement on 'THE BIG ISSUE' on CITI television yesterday, 4th September 2021, when he responded to the views of some NPP communicators on the CDD's post-election survey report.

According to Alhassan Suhuyini, less than half of the majority of Ghana's population has confidence in the Akufo Addo-Bawumia government in improving and doing better on corruption because the signs on the walls show that we are not going to see any improvement.

Sadly, we have to live with it for about two-three years more, but it is even more disturbing that the President and his Vice, do not seem to appreciate the level of despondency among Ghanaians, and for the people who love democracy, that is something we should be worried about.

"I kept talking about how this government is not just incompetent, but also dishonest, and that dishonesty is offensive because when people know what they know, and you still want to act smart, it turns to be offensive to the average Ghanaian."

Alhassan Suhuyini suggested that perhaps the NPP should study the report by the CDD, and hopefully, they can make some amends, although he doesn't see how they will succeed at that, at least they should make some attempt.

However, he said that when you listen to the NPP, you don't get inspired because they think that COVID-19 is the Christ that they can hang unto, so everybody should go and discuss COVID-19 because that's their solution to all the problems that they've created in the last four years.

He added that the NPP should know that the issues of corruption against them did not come because of COVID-19. So, they cannot point to covid-19 as the solution to their problems with corruption.
