Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu has angrily responded to the Communication Minister, Honorable Ursula Owusu, for questioning the U-turn of the position of the minority caucus on the issue of consultation on e-levy. Ursula Owusu recalled to the house how the Finance Minister, last year, prayed the house for some time so that the ministry can make further consultation. The minority during that time stated boldly that they were not and will never be ready for any consultation with the ministry of finance.
Ursula Owusu, in her submission to the house, expressed disbelief at the sudden U-turn of Honorable Muntaka in complaining that the Finance Minister never consulted the house. This submission from Ursula Owusu was not received by the Minority leader with good fate.
"You have to tolerate me on E-levy because it is missing here. What the Minister is saying here has made me bring up this issue. Ideally and ordinarily, the e-levy must have been part of today's business. That is where we were before the house adjourned. That is why the minister must allow us to respect the leader and stop what she is doing. We have not asked for any consultation. If you like, bring e-levy since that is what you told Ghanaians.", he said.
