He Needs A State Burial: Ghanaians Massively React To The Death Of Western Togoland Leader

The recent heartbreaking news that has sparked massive stir, debates and arguments across all social media platforms is that of the sad demise of the prominent member and leader of the Western Togoland leader, Papavi.

Ghana has undoubtedly witnessed the death of numerous prominent individuals over the past couple of years and counting as each had their respective cause of deaths.

With respect to this, the untimely death of the leader of the secessionist group, Homeland Study Group Foundation, Charles Komi Kudzordzi has broken the hearts of most Ghanaians especially his loyal followers and members of the western Togoland group.

According to recent reports from TV3 Network, the octogenarian who is an 88-year old man died on Saturday, October 16 at the Keta government hospital after suffering an unknown illness.

Mr Charles Komi was popularly known for leading an insurgency, which was geared toward demanding the succession of the erstwhile Western Togoland which currently covers the modern day Oti and the Volta region as we as some parts of the North-East region from Ghana.

In a recent interview, the 88-year old, Charles Komi revealed that, he had to visit a herbalist for some time because he couldn’t move his hands and legs but could hear people speak which was the same period where the leader of the secessionist group was been ‘chased’ by Ghana police.

Upon the sad demise of Charles Komi popped up, most Ghanaians took the privilege to share their immense thoughts and concerns over the unexpected death of the prominent leader.
