The outspoken Ghanaian investigative journalist, Kevin Ekow Baido Taylor, has accused the former IGP, James Oppong-Boanuh, of being a political policeman who wants to destroy COP George Akuffo Dampare.
Kevin Taylor made this allegation on his 'With All Due Respect' program on Loud Silence television when he chided the former IGP for promoting police officers when he was about to leave office.
He alleged that James Oppong-Boanuh came to destroy the police service because he was working for President Akufo Addo. Why didn't Oppong Boanuh sat with COP George Akuffo Dampare before he promoted the over a thousand police officers? He has pushed them on Dampare for him to work with them by force.
He indicated that, for all we know, these promoted police officers belong to the NPP who have been promoted to come and work with Dampare to sabotage him.
"James Oppong Boanuh is a political policeman who wants to destroy Dampare because he knows he is better than him. COP George Akuffo Dampare is capable of doing the job, and we will support him to do it better than Oppong Boanuh." He said
He added that all indicators show that Dampare is not a political foot soldier like James Oppong-Boanuh. He is a young man and knows what it entails to be the IGP.
