The recent circulating news that has raised massive concerns amongst Ghanaians was when residents within one of the strongholds of the ruling NPP government finally declared not to vote for the party in the upcoming elections.
The recent rainfall across the various regions in the country seemed to have caused more harm than good to the residents at Takoradi as thousands got stranded as flood waters blocked the Takoradi-Agona-Tarkwa Highway.
Some of the residents who expressed their immense disappointment highlighted that the road wasn’t properly constructed by the Akufo Addo government considering how the gutters and other water passage areas were blocked by the walls of nearby state-owned and private companies amongst others.
“We need God. Ghana needs God. We have passed the level of voting, we need God. Other countries have done it and they are surviving. We don’t need any vote”, a disappointed resident emphatically stated.
“We won’t even vote for the NPP again. If this is what Akufo Addo came to meet then we wouldn’t have voted the previous government out. Please, we need your help; we are suffering”, another angry resident in one of the NPP’s strongholds who got stranded as a result of the flood water emphatically revealed.
Do you think that Ghanaians shouldn’t blame the Akufo Addo government for the alarming rate at which certain parts of the country keep flooding after a short period of rainfall as highlighted by some individuals even though others claimed otherwise?
What are your thoughts considering how the residents in the Takoradi boldly declared not to vote for the NPP again amidst the ongoing flood on the highway and region that has caused massive reactions online even though most individuals claim otherwise?
What do you think can be done to put a stop to the continual flood cases currently occurring in the various regions across the country, especially in the Greater Accra region aside from causing more harm than good to victims even though most individuals agreed otherwise?
