Ghana Immigration Service is an agency in the government which operate under the Ministry of Interior. They are mandated by the constitution to monitor the movement of citizens and foreign in a particular jurisdiction. The Immigration service is headed by a comptroller - General of Immigration, Kwame Asuah Takyi.
Due to lack of training ground by the immigration service, Okyehene, Osagyefo Amotia Ofori Panin has handed over 167 acres land to the Ghana Immigration Service to construct a Jungle warfare training school at kyebi in the Eastern Region. Okyenhene is the title of the Tribal King of Akyem Abuakwa, an old powerful traditional kingdom in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The Ghana Immigration Service was received by the Queen mother, Okyehemaa, Nana Dokua. The team was led by Mr. Isaac Owusu Mensah at the Ofori Panin Fie.
