A popular communicator of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Osman Ayariga has boldly revealed that the ruling New Patriotic Party government cannot continue to blame Covid-19 and Russia-Ukraine war for the current economic woes. He revealed that it will be insulting for the ruling government to continue doing that.
The ruling Akufo-Addo government has continually blamed Covid-19 and Russia-Ukraine war for the current economic woes and have said that it's not the mismanagement of the Akufo-Addo. Meanwhile, Osman Ayariga while speaking on TV3 New Day boldly revealed the country’s economy was decorating way before all these two external factors and so the government cannot continually blame those factors.
“I find it very unfortunate and insulting sometimes, when I watch most of the NPP communicators try to heap all its problems on Covid and Russia Ukraine issues. We started trumpeting them way back even before Covid that the tangent or the road on which they are moving is leading you to an IMF programme and very soon, you will be unable to service your own debt. But of course they carried themselves as the epitome of economic competence yet we have seen the the high level of incompetency.” Osman boldly revealed this on TV3 New Day on Friday, July 8, 2022.
