President Akufo-Addo has come under so much attack when it comes to the issue of corruption. Prior to the 2020 elections, the opposition NDC alleged many scandals against the president and yet the latter went on the win the elections. The verbal attacks haven’t seized and in a Thank You tour by John Mahama, he announced that Ghanaians shouldn’t let the NPP escape with their stolen wealth.
In a sharp rebuttal, the NPP responded and debunked those assertions and rather claimed that the John Mahama government has been the most corrupt ever. They alleged a number of corrupt scandals of the erstwhile Mahama government. Well, Johnnie Hughes, a journalist with Multimedia who has been on the NPP for some time asked Kamal Deen, an NPP Director of Communications a rather imposing question. Kamal had earlier on claimed that John Mahama was corrupt. Johnnie then asked Kamal whether Akufo-Addo couldn’t be corrupted him.
“Absolutely. He is still the incorruptible Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo. Tell me if you feel otherwise. I gave you an example of the Airbus scandal. I can give you the Smartty’s deal. I can go on and on. The gargantuan scandals were under the NDC. If they want us to go on and on we can go on. Tell me what Nana Akufo-Add has done to be corrupt. Johnnie, list the scandals he is involved in” Kamal Deen said
