Ghana's Security Services Must Be Depoliticized - Presidential Candidate

The counter interventions and recruitment of Politically affiliated and unqualified persons into the security forces in recent years is alarming, the growing sense of insecurities and other social vices would be blamed for such actions. Ghana's security services needs to be depoliticized, revamped and restructured.

Having a well equipped and trained security will always work on their own to have the people protected, such security agencies will always put up their best in reference to the professional training they went through.

I remember Madam Brigitte Dzogbenuku, the flagbearer and presidential candidate for the People's Progressive Party who vows to change the security system in Ghana when is becomes the president of the country, by depoliticizing and equipping it.

She indicated "Gone are the days where the people who were in the security services got there by dint of hard work and meritocracy.

The security services must be allowed to work by themselves and not have interference from Political parties or Political leadership."

What can you save about the state of Ghana's security in recent times?
