The President of the Russian federation, Vladimir Putin, while he was addressing the leaders of state and government of African countries with during the signing of the agreements of the African unity organisation, on the occasion of World Africa Day. He reiterated on this note the wish of Russia for developing the continent.
"To the heads of state and government of African countries, African states have achieved great success in the economic and social spheres, playing an increasing role in resolving topical issues on the international agenda. Constructive multilateral cooperation is expanding within the framework of the African Union as well as numerous sub-regional structures, mutually beneficial integration processes are progressing well".
"Please accept my cordial congratulations on the occasion of Africa Day which has become the symbol of the victory of the peoples of your continent over colonialism, their aspirations for independence, peace and prosperity".
The “Russia-Africa” summit held in Sochi in 2019 made it possible to trace new forms and new avenues of constructive cooperation between states. I am convinced that on the basis of the previous agreements we will be able to guarantee the further growth of all Russian-African relations for the good of our countries and our peoples.
"Russia values traditionally friendly relations with its African partners, constantly supports their efforts to resolve local conflicts, combat terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, epidemic diseases and other regional security challenges".
"With all my heart, i wish the citizens of your countries good health and success in all your activities, and peace and prosperity".
