Alhassan Suhuyini, the MP for Tamale North has just sent a simple but powerful message to the Electoral Commission Boss, Jean Adukwei Mensa. Following all that has been happening regarding the court petitions, he has sent a message across to her that she should do the needful.
Suhuyini said just as her predecessor Dr. Afari Gyan did in 2012, she should do the same by mounting the witness box. In his words, he said:
“The argument of whether the EC boss should get into the box shouldn’t have happened. When Afari-Gyan’s last election was challenged, he went into the witness box to clear any doubt people may have about the EC”.
However by Thursday being the 11th of February, the Supreme Court will decide if Jean Mensa should mount the witness box as argued by Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata.
Dear readers, what are your thoughts on this? Should Jean Mensa mount the witness box?
Do you trust Jean Mensa and the work she did during the Elections? If she is afraid of Tsatsu Tsikata, then should Sammy Gyamfi Cross-examine her?
