Former President, John Dramani Mahama has stated that he has visited some polling stations in the capital city of Gambia and he can confirmed that everything is going on well and wished the good people of Gambia a very successful election.
"#gambiavotes2021. Visited some polling stations in the Banjul area at the start of polls this morning. On behalf of the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa - EISA we wish the people of Gambia a successful poll" John Dramani Mahama stated on his social media wall today and Ghanaians reacted to his update.
"You stand out tall in Africa. May God Almighty preserve you in good health and greater heights to continue to serve humanity" someone told John Mahama.
Pictures posted by John Mahama disclosed that the ballot boxes in Gambia are glued to the ground and tables and no one can snatch it away and people thought that it is good although it may have disadvantage as the ballots boxes are made for each candidate in voting.
"This type of ballot box makes the EC's work easier and it eliminates sorting totally. But in other hand it eliminates confidentiality of voting" someone told John Mahama.
