Do not forget that you prosecuted others lesser breaches, judgement day is coming - Okudzeto

Following the revelation by the Public Procurement Authority that it has on information regarding the approval of contract for the construction of the national cathedral by RIDADE company limited, the MP for North Tongu Okudzeto Ablakwa, has stated that "on the judgement day, there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."

Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa who has consistently questioned the legality of the contract awarded over the construction of the National Cathedral has stated that the current NPP administration should take note that their administration has prosecuted others for failing to follow procurement laws.

He is therefore reminding them that it will be thier turn soon.

Additionally, Okudzeto noted that there is also no evidence that the Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta followed due process to make an exception as provided under the law after my painstaking check of all gazetted publications as documented by section 14 (3) of Act 663.

He therefore urged the ruling NPP government never to for that they held others responsible for breaches of the law regarding unlawful procurement processes. He reminded them that judgement day will surely come where there will be gnashing and wailing of teeth.

He noted "it must not be lost on us that this occurred while the government has prosecuted political opponent and succeeded in jailing some. He added that and then serving as an elated conveyor belt in a conspiracy that removed an electoral commissioner from office, all for alleged procurement breaches- none of these procurement infractions measure up to this egregious transgressions," he said

He concluded that "on Judgement day, they will be willing and gnashing of teeth."
